Sometimes you just need another parent who gets it.
Service Description
Your first 30-minute Parent-to-Parent Support Call is completely FREE and gives us a judgment-free space to talk, brainstorm ideas, or get something off your chest. You don't need a specific reason to reach out. Maybe you've had a hard day, something isn't working, your child had a HUGE win only another parent would understand, or you need someone to listen. We can also talk about: ๐ Everyday Challenges โ Brainstorming ideas around behaviors, routines, transitions, regulation, independence, outings, and everyday situations with your child. ๐ Communication โ Talking through communication challenges, different ways your child may communicate, and ideas you may want to try at home. ๐ AAC Support โ Getting started with AAC, modeling without pressure, personalization, creating everyday communication opportunities, and things I've learned while supporting James with AAC. ๐ Visual Supports โ Ideas for introducing an existing visual, using it in everyday life, or adapting how you're using it to better fit your child. ๐ Diagnosis & the Parenting Journey โ Whether your child is autistic, neurodivergent, waiting for an evaluation, or you're still trying to better understand their needs, sometimes it helps to talk with another parent who understands. Before We Talk You'll receive a short Parent Support Form so I can learn a little about your family and what you'd like to discuss. Please complete it at least 24 hours before your scheduled call. Your First Call Is Free ๐ Each family may receive one complimentary 30-minute call. Additional 30-minute Parent-to-Parent Support Calls are available for $15. Parent Connection Circle members receive 20% off additional support calls, making each 30-minute call $12. A Quick Note About My Role I'm James' mom and a parent of an autistic child, sharing lived experience, things I've learned, and ideas that have helped us along the way. I am not a therapist, doctor, SLP, diagnostician, attorney, or other licensed professional. These calls are peer support and are not therapy, counseling, crisis support, medical or diagnostic care, legal advice, or a replacement for your child's professional team. Every child is different. I'm here to listen, share what I've learned, and help you brainstorm ideas that may work for your family. ๐
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for connecting with The James Project: Autism Tools & Learning! Parent-to-Parent Support Calls offer a welcoming, judgment-free space to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore resources. ๐ Scheduling & Booking Appointments require at least 48 hours' advance notice and are subject to availability and approval. Please complete all required booking questions so I can prepare for our conversation. Appointments are confirmed only after approval. ๐ Free Parent Support Calls Free Parent-to-Parent Support Calls are 30-minute conversations offering connection, encouragement, and support to parents and caregivers. ๐ Follow-Up Calls Paid follow-up calls are available for continued support after an initial conversation. Sessions are 30 minutes, and pricing is displayed before booking. ๐ Optional File Uploads You may share relevant documents, images, audio, or videos before your call. Please remove personal or identifying information and share only what you're comfortable discussing. ๐ Cancellations & Rescheduling Life happens! Please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible. Repeated missed appointments without notice may affect future bookings. If I need to reschedule, I'll contact you as soon as possible. ๐ Response Times Please allow approximately 24โ72 hours for responses to emails, messages, requests, and submissions. Responses may take longer during weekends, holidays, scheduled closures, or unexpected family circumstances. ๐ Nature of Services The James Project provides peer support and educational resources based on lived experience. Calls are not therapy, counseling, crisis support, medical care, diagnosis, or legal advice and do not replace professional guidance. ๐ Business & Collaboration Inquiries Parent Support Calls are reserved for parents and caregivers seeking support. Business proposals, partnerships, and collaboration inquiries must be submitted through the website's contact form. ๐ Respect & Boundaries Every family is different, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. I may decline, cancel, or end appointments that fall outside the support I provide or when appropriate boundaries are not respected. The James Project is here to offer connection, understanding, and encouragement. You're not alone in this. ๐
